Hey guys! I posted this on my Blog, but since it could involve a RH Outtake, I'd figured I'd post it here as well to get some views.
I received paperwork from my son's school today asking for sponsors for their walk-a-thon benefiting CHOP, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I was going to just do what I did last year, write out a $20 check and send it in. But this year, I figure that I might as well try to put a little extra effort into this.
For anyone who decides to contribute to this awesome cause, I'll be writing a piece and sharing it with you guys. Since you're the one calling the shots, it'll be your choice as to what I write. Whether it's an Outtake, a One shot continuance or something new altogether, it's your call.
*Only* the people who donate will be sent a link to a survey with several options. The most chosen option will be written by the end of June and sent to you by July 1st. It will still get posted to FFn, but not until at least August 1st.
So, here's the deal. Between right now and next week, Friday May 13th, 2011, I'll be taking donations. I'm not setting a minimum, so please feel free to donate whatever you feel comfortable with, even it's just one dollar. Every little bit helps and it's going to a great cause.
100% of the money donated will be used to sponsor my son, Shaun. Since I need to send the money in with him to school the day of the walk, I'll be accepting PayPal payments and then just send in one check with the amount raised.
To provide as much proof as possible that I'm legitimate here, I'm posting pictures of the explanation sheet they sent home, as well as his sign up sheet and school calendar marking the date. On Friday the 13th, I'll be posting pictures of the check and his filled out sheet. If we end up raising over $100, I'll hand deliver said check and take a picture of the teacher receiving it. I don't want anyone to have to question my morality here. =)
If you have any questions, please feel free to leave them here in the comments, or email me. KitsuShel@gmail.com or hit me up on Twitter: @KitsuShel
Love, hugs and adoration,
Shel
I wish I could give more but I donate to a lot of organizations representing children. I try to spread the little I do have.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea & a wonderful thing you are doing, so selflessly.
